Mum to two girls, wife, and proud owner of a retired greyhound, Angela first discovered embroidery after receiving an embroidery kit for Christmas. What began as a simple creative hobby soon became something far more powerful – a calm, mindful escape during a difficult season. Before finding Bloom, Angela had done what most of us do when we want to learn something new. She turned to YouTube. And sure, don’t get me wrong, YouTube can be a good resource for learning a new skill. But unsurprisingly, Angela’s experience of this was more frustrating than helpful.

“I tried watching YouTube videos but found them very fast or lacking in description. I was fast getting sick of pausing and rewinding! And there was no structure to my learning.”
